The City of Newport Beach has announced that its temporarily closing City Hall as well as the cities community centers although all city services will continue. The change is due to the surge in the City of COVID cases in the city as well as an increase in staff infections over the recent holidays.
The city has announced that some services will continue through virtue means or through drop offs. The temporary closure starts Monday and will continue through at least mid January. The uptick in COVID cases has also caused the State of California to extend until mid February the current requirement for masks to be warn indoors.
